2014
On Sunday, September 14, the Assisted Living Band had an opportunity to perform at the Anne Arundel County Fair in Crownsville, MD. It was a beautiful day at the Fair and great music! ALB provided the music for that evening. Dancers came from far and near to dance to the sound of the 'golden oldies'!
The Assisted Living Band had the honor of helping to raise money for an AMAZING little 2 year old, TJ Mauck! TJ is fighting a very rare form of cancer and a Car, Truck and Bike show in Dunkirk, MD was held to help raise money for him and his family! THE ALB HAD A BLAST!!! It was for a wonderful cause, so we didn't mind the cold, rainy, bluster of the November 1 day!!!! If you would like to follow little TJ Mauck's journey or maybe you might feel led to donate to TJ and his family, you can follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Prayers-for-TJ-Mauck/840283632656518 .
Sold-out bull and shrimp feast raises $8K for brain tumor research
A bull and shrimp feast to benefit Johns Hopkins brain tumor research was recently held at Elks Lodge No. 622 in Annapolis, MD.
The sold-out event raised $8,000 and was the fourth annual bull and shrimp feast hosted by Jimmy, Mary and Shelby Lamb. With more than 320 in attendance, the crowd was entertained by the Assisted Living Band.
In addition to silent auction items donated by local business men and women, the event featured a raffle for a custom-built Harley Davidson. The motorcycle was donated by a supporter of Mary Lamb’s efforts to raise funds for the research efforts of Johns Hopkins’ Dr. Alfredo Quinones.
Raffle tickets for the bike are still available by contacting Mary at 410-991-9610. The fundraising efforts will continue with a crab feast on Aug. 16.
